Unfortunately, she cannot get along with toddlers and young children. They make her nervous and aggressive. If they get in her space or awake her while napping, she will snap at them. Since there is a toddler in her current home, her owner has made the difficult decision to find a home for Leia where she will not have to deal with young children and will have more attention for herself. She likes adults and gets along with older children. Leia has only been around one cat infrequently. But she only seems curious and playful with that cat. Leia needs proper introductions to dogs. She can react aggressively to some dogs while on leash. When she is off leash, she seems to show less aggression and might even play with some dogs. Leia has shown some resource guarding with other dogs (i.e., with bones). Additional training and proper introductions will be needed to deal with these issues. Leia is an awesome dog who is very low-maintenance. She can be left alone in the house without incident. While she endures car rides, she needs to be crated to prevent her from hiding under the car seats. One of her favorite things to do is nap on the couch or in your lap/arms, either on or under a blanket. For treats, she will sit, lay down, and leave it. She always greets people with excitement when meeting them. While she will bark at door knocks, doorbell, or noise outside, she is quieter than most Chihuahuas. She's as cute as a button. Leia is a very sweet girl, but requires lots of love and attention. Can you please give this sweetheart a forever home? She deserves someone special.
