This girl was taken from a cruelty case and ended up in a nearby shelter where she was terrified. Poor Elizabeth had rotten teeth, two ear infections and had clearly been neglected...she ducked anytime you went to pet her. But quickly she has started to come around and now slowly comes up for pets and gives tail wags. Elizabeth is great with other dogs and would prefer to have a home with another dog, as she gets confidence from watching and following others. She is crate trained. We are not sure yet on housebreaking. She walks well on a leash and rides very well in a car. She is good with cats. She will do best in a gentle home with people who are not too loud or chaotic...and who can give her time to slowly trust people. She's made remarkable strides in a short time and we have no doubt that she'll become a confident, happy-go-lucky girl in a short time. She has amazing speckles that don't show up in her current photos too...she's a real beauty. Personality: shy and calm and very, very sweet The adoption fee for this dog is $300. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and Elizabeth is microchipped. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. They include surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Our adult animal fees range and are based on: fees we pay to shelters; vetting costs; transport costs and boarding costs.
