Soon she was pregnant. Right before Lacey was ready to give birth, this young couple struck out on their own (or were dumped in the country) in a quest to find a place for their puppies to be born. They were picked up by Animal Control and landed in a rural SC high-kill shelter. While a shelter is no place to give birth, it is there that Lacey delivered 8 puppies. Sadly, some did not survive the harsh realities of shelter life. She is a sweet, playful girl. This is an easy-going girl who gets along with other dogs.
