She was part of a hoarding situation shared with 60 to over 100 dogs at any time. All of the dogs there lived outside in pens in the heat, rain, and cold. They had no heartworm preventative, flea repellent or medical care. Thankfully, Homeward Trails stepped in and was able to rescue Bertha from her misery. She is now living a much better life! Bertha is so sweet and calm. She loves being pet (though a little shy at first) and snuggling on soft beds. She is housetrained, quiet, and good with other dogs. Bertha is such a gentle soul. Can you give her the special home she has always dreamed of? The adoption fee for her is $275, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. Our adult animal fees are based on: fees we pay to shelters, vetting costs, transport costs, and boarding costs. Some animals cost more than others to rescue, so that is why our fees range from $275-$350.
