We will consider loving safe indoor/outdoor homes for many of these cats. Anything is safer and better than what they currently have. The Park Heights neighborhood is one of the forgotten neighborhoods of Baltimore City. It is also one of the most dangerous and impoverished neighborhoods. Anything goes there. The neighborhood has a huge pet abandonment problem. Cats regularly are tossed outside and left to fend for themselves. There are young men in the area that fight dogs and use friendly, trusting cats as bait. Homeward Trails is actively trying to feed and protect several colonies of these cats. Funds, donations and fosters are desperately needed to help us change the destiny of these innocent creatures..Many of these cats are completely tame and we have already brought 5 of them into our system that are friendly and ready for fosters or adopters.They are in temporary spots. If you have a spare room, basement or even a heated garage that can help any of these cats come in from this awful situation please emails us ASAP. Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters.
