He has lots of energy to walk, run, and play, but is also content to lay around in rays of sun and near his people. He loves chewing on his bone, belly rubs, walks, and just being near his people. He is crate trained and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He walks well on a leash and obeys basic commands like sit, stay, down, paw (shaking hands), and high five. When Max was a puppy, he had some bad experiences with a previous owner that have left him unsure around other pets and children. He has some doggie friends but is wary of strange dogs so needs a good introduction to new pups. He will be happy in a home as an only love-bug or with an easy going dog. eeds a home where he can be the only love-bug. Children make him really nervous so he will do best in a home children. Max is looking for loving adults to welcome him into their home for the remainder of his life. He is loyal, loving, and has given his owners many years of joy and love! The adoption fee for this dog is $275. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. They include surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Our adult animal fees range and are based on: fees we pay to shelters; vetting costs; transport costs and boarding costs.
