All of the dogs there have to live outside in pens in the heat, rain, and cold. They have no heartworm preventative or flea repellent. Unfortunately, the woman has become overwhelmed by trying to care for too many animals. HT has rescued some of these dogs. This is a nice girl who's extremely scared and shy. She is confused by the recent changes in her life. Dodie needs a very patient, understanding person or family to teach her how to trust and love people again. Since she has lived outdoors in a rural area, Dodie will need to learn basic house manners and get used to urban life. She needs an indoor home with good food, a soft bed, and tons of love. Dodie might do best in a home where she has a canine companion to help boost her confidence with people. She has been transported to the DC area with her daughter, Dorrit (who is also available for adoption). But she needs a place to stay. Can you give Dodie the loving home that she needs?
